The South Shore Chamber is launching a new storefront activation project called Play, See, Shop South Shore at 1900-1912 E. 71st Street. Our Grand Opening is Saturday and Sunday, January 14th & 15th from 11-7pm. Sponsored by Chicago's Business Affairs and Consumer Protection this Activation Hub will run from now through March 30, 2023. We have taken 5 vacant storefronts and created 3 amazing new activations:

Brown Books and Paintbrushes - 1900 E. 71st Street

This free kids activity center is the first of its kind in South Shore. Children between the ages of 1-10 can enjoy book readings, watch movies and participate in S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) programming.

Connect Art Gallery - 1904 E. 71st Street

Artist Richton "Guy" Thomas has created an exhibit for Art Enthusiasts of all ages. Experience his beautiful collection all inspired by his love for music.

The Artisan Collective - 1910 E. 71st Street

A collection of eclectic vendors and creatives will showcase their products each week. The vendors market will feature jewelry, clothing, homegoods, art and health & beauty products.
