Connect
Build relationships with neighbors and local leaders. Help residents navigate resources and connect the talents and support already in South Shore.
Convened by the Neighborhood Network Alliance
The South Shore Community Collaborative is an initiative of the Neighborhood Network Alliance (NNA). Through Connect, Convene, and Collaborate, it brings neighbors, block leaders, and partners together around shared priorities, including housing.
Bring your experience of living here. Share what matters on your block, connect with neighbors and useful information, and help identify priorities. NNA convenes the conversations and connects residents’ insights with partners.

What the Collaborative does
Build relationships with neighbors and local leaders. Help residents navigate resources and connect the talents and support already in South Shore.
Bring people together to exchange knowledge, talk through neighborhood concerns, and identify goals they can work toward together.
Connect residents’ priorities with partners’ skills and resources. Build partnerships that support coordinated action and strengthen neighborhood impact.
NNA makes introductions, convenes conversations, and keeps residents’ knowledge connected to organizations and institutions that can contribute. That ongoing organizing helps individual voices become part of a shared effort.
How voices connect
These roles describe how the Collaborative connects experience on individual blocks with shared priorities across South Shore. Start by telling NNA what interests you. We’ll discuss what is happening in your area and how you can take part.
Connect neighbors and bring block leaders together to share insights and identify local priorities.
Connect people with shared skills or interests around neighborhood issues.
Bring an area’s perspective into Talent Networks and carry useful information back to neighbors.
Bring resident representatives, network conveners, and public and community partners into a shared conversation.

Built on NNA’s organizing history
This approach grows from NNA’s work bringing neighbors together. Hey Neighbor walks, karaoke, and community gatherings create opportunities to meet. Public safety organizing is also part of that history.
