South Side Housing Data Initiative · South Shore
The South Shore Housing Data Report and Recommendations was published in 2022. NNA helped lead the data collection and resident outreach with community partners.
Historical findings from the August 2022 South Shore Housing Data Project Summary Report. These are neighborhood measures reported then, not current statistics or NNA’s impact totals.
Vacancy, renter financial vulnerability, opportunities for homeownership, and preservation challenges in condos and co-ops all affect housing stability. The report calls for residents to have a stronger role in public investment decisions.
The South Shore Community Compact—NNA, South Shore Chamber of Commerce, and South Shore Works—developed this work with support from the University of Chicago and other partners, including Agora.
These are report recommendations; the report does not establish that every proposal has been implemented.
