The South Shore Quality-of-Life Plan is a comprehensive community planning effort supported in partnership with Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC Chicago) the South Shore Chamber of Commerce, The Neighborhood Network Alliance and South Shore Works have convened to facilitate a Quality-of-Life Plan (QLP) with South Shore residents, business owners and youth. With the support of our residents we are working to identify priorities for better education, housing, job opportunities, safer streets, new economic opportunities and stronger personal finances.

The Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) created a comprehensive community planning efforts to support the development of the Quality-of-Life Plans. South Shore’s local community leaders and organizations have joined forces to bring you the Assets and Opportunities Report — the first step to embarking upon the South Shore QLP. The process empowers the South Shore community by building capacity and providing the framework to assess and build on unique human, institutional and physical assets while identifying and addressing specific challenges. The QLP will help set the stage for new economic development opportunities within South Shore.
